Magical LIVE Kids Events in NYC
Chapin VR School presents a series of fabulous LIVE events in NYC into which kids can immerse themselves. We organize four events throughout the year that are fun for both kids and adults. The lucky participants will enjoy our Cherry Blossom Picnic in Central Park that includes nature lessons, sports, music, and healthy hors d’oeuvres. Later in the season, students will boost their imagination and learn theoretical and practical skills in art, science, and business management by participating in the planning and execution of our Lemonade Stand Production event. To enhance their physical education, our little athletes gain experience in surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and playing tennis by the Atlantic Ocean followed by a marshmallow roast during our Glamping in New Jersey excursion. And our annual Holiday Masquerade event is a wonderful celebration to conclude a productive year and set the stage for even more educational fun coming up in the following year.
Money for Kids: Lemonade Stand in Central Park
Kick off an educational and productive summer by exposing your kids to fundamental lessons about money and business. Through this fun and practical event, our young students gain hands-on experience in production, marketing, branding, sales, and accounting. The class works together to produce the lemonade, develop an advertising sign and a branding label, set up the lemonade stand in a busy section of the park, execute an exciting day of sales to happy customers, and calculate profits to demonstrate the results. Students evaluate the cost of ingredients and materials required for the event production, develop two diversified beverage products, and learn about pricing strategy. This enlightening event was developed as a collaboration between executive level experts in finance, artists, and musicians.
Glamping in New Jersey
In the middle of July, please join us to enjoy an amazing escape from the city and digital detox. Our glamping retreat features fresh seafood and lots of flexible time for sunbathing, reading, tennis, golf, boating, biking, paragliding, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and stargazing. This refreshing weekend getaway starts on Friday night with either a drive from Manhattan or arrival on the Seastreak ferry to Highlands, New Jersey. We guarantee you a one-of-a-kind life experience at this relaxing and restorative event. The glamping site features a luxury tent, shower, kitchen facilities, fire pit, hammock, and 24/7 assistance The trip includes a stay of two nights starting with check-in on Friday at 5:00 PM and concluding with check-out on Sunday at 7:00 PM. The comprehensive getaway package includes full glamping accommodations, seafood meals with champagne and cocktails, and equipment for tennis, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, kiteboarding, and other watersports. We conduct a final weather check on the Thursday night before arrival to ensure optimal conditions for fun in the sun. In cases of inclement weather, we provide a 100% refund or reschedule your retreat for the following weekend. Your kids will greatly enjoy an invigorating weekend by the ocean. Lobster, oysters, clams, champagne, and rosé make our glamping retreat a luxurious experience for parents as well.
Holiday Masquerade in NYC
Celebrate Holiday season at the masquerade: professional artists, face paint, kids’ DJ, games, entertainment, gifts, delicious food for everyone and Champaign, caviar, and other hors d'oeuvres for parents, crepes and dumplings for the kids. Kids will enjoy holiday dance, singing Christmas carols, competing in decorating snowman and Santa Clause, watching a holiday movie, eating French crepes, and receiving an individual custom gift.
Cherry Blossom Picnic in Central Park
Have your children experience the magic and natural beauty of springtime by joining our Cherry Blossom Picnic in New York City’s gorgeous Central Park. This special annual event creates memories that will last a lifetime. In early April, the spectacular Japanese Sakura cherry blossoms appear in NYC. Our gathering in the park brings together kids and grownups to appreciate the beauty of nature and to share the exhilarating positive energy of spring. The timing of the event depends upon weather and progression of the season. We schedule a preliminary date and then observe the phase of blooming and the weather forecast. During the event, students will enjoy outdoor fun and games such as building a Jenga, competitive races, a ring toss, sand drawing, origami making, singing, and dancing under the tree canopy. We also provide healthy and delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy in our exquisite picnic spread that is created and curated to go above and beyond a typical cherry blossom experience in Central Park. To pair with the perfect sun of a warm day and the peak bloom period, we offer a fancy rosé accompanied by five different kinds of oysters and clams, an array of complementing meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, berries, and fruits. For dessert we provide classic favorites and matcha cakes from Lady M Confections served with specialty jasmine white tea. And after dusk the party continues on a nearby balcony overlooking the blossoming trees and features signature salads, top-shelf margaritas, LED lights, and relaxing music. The picnic ambience is carefully chosen to provide exposure to a variety of flowers and the beauty of spring to ensure that everyone has a fabulous time throughout the event.
